I have tried many many different protein bars with little to no success until about a year ago when I found Clif Builder Bars... The peanut butter type is among the best protein bars (if not the best) that I have ever had. An excellent snack that I have daily!

I had been purchasing Clif bars for awhile thru Amazon with no problem. I ended up throwing away my last order...I had ordered in August 2009, but didn't need to open box until end of Sept (past the return date). All 3 boxes in the order EXPIRED in 2008 ! I opened a few individual bars - they were dried up and made a mess! My error in not checking order immediately.

I thought they would taste too much like protein, but they did not. They are actually good, they feel more like a complete meal. I take it to work and I'm full until evening! They are 10 times better than the regular cliff bars, of course! I'm on auto delivery! My teenage boy says they are nourishing and satisfying a the same time--and you know how HARD it is to make a 17 year old happy!

I'm so glad that Clif branched out to make these protein bars; I tried using other protein bars when I work out or just to carry around as a handy source of protein when I am away from home, but my stomach always became upset after eating them. I don't know if it was the artificial sugars (my best guess) or something else, but I despaired of finding a handy source of protein that didn't make me sick. My husband brought these Clif Builder's Bars home one day for me to try since they are made from all natural ingredients (as far as I can tell from the label). It was a revelation! I think they are delicious and very filling, and my stomach is also very happy. Now I have something I can take to the gym or keep in my purse when I am out running errands and need something to eat besides fast food.
We eat all five flavors on a regular basis, and wish there were more - my two favorites are the chocolate mint and the vanilla almond. They are sweet but not overly-sweet, and the crispy/chewy texture is very satisfying.
