Just ordered this and returned it the next day! The sounds are completely ridiculous. I can't believe anyone would actually feel this is worth the money even though it's a less expensive model then some others. There wasn't one except the basic white noise setting that we thought was okay to sleep with. The heartbeat is just weird, not womb sound like most baby heartbeats are. The ocean waves sounds like enormous waves crashing, light to very, very loud sound. The one we have for our 1st born is great but no longer made. Just ordered a Marpac and hoping we will be happy with that option.

This alarm clock / noisemaker has all of the functions I want, but the clock light literally lights up half of my room at night. I have to put something over it to block the brightness.

I have liked my Conair and would have rated it 4-5 out of 5. However, over the last couple of weeks various buttons on the top have stopped working. The Snooze button, the Off button and 1 of the Alarm set buttons are no longer working. What a shame.

Once you have had a Marpac nothing compares.....but I didn't want to spend the money for my 2 year old for when the new baby arrived. The white noise is a horrible static sound, but my daughter LOVES the crickets. It is great for kids, just something that I couldn't sleep with.

I bought this a month or so ago...and it is already starting to malfunction. It started crackling loudly in the middle of the night, which wakes me up. So it does the exact opposite of what it is supposed to do. It is supposed to make soothing noises to sleep to, but now I don't want to turn it on because i am afraid it is going to crack loudly in the middle of the night and scare me and wake me up.
I may have just gotten a bad one though. Before it malfunctioned, it worked well.
