| Great Buy for WLS patients by Sara B. Harrison (Baltimore, MD) 5 Stars January 20, 2009 This product was given to me by my WLS surgeon, and I think it's the best stuff out there. It's good mixed with water, add a little ice, and it tastes like kool-aid! It's got 32 grams of protein which is half of what I need a day - so 4 oz meets my requirements. It's easy to do, and leaves the rest of the day to enjoy other stuff. It also really aids in making me feel full all day, and curb snacking. I highly recommend this product.
| | Helpful by Linda Vargas (Tamarac, FL United States) 3 Stars November 20, 2008 I bought this following gastric bypass surgery. There are a few such protein supplements which are similar. This one is the best tasting of the collagen-based medical proteins. That's not to say it's tasty in its own right-just the best of such choices. I like that it has arginine in it to aid in recovery. I shopped around for this product, and getting it here through Amazon was the best option I found. Bear in mind that this is NOT a complete protein, though it can be helpful when you're home from the hospital and are not in the mood to have your GI system challenged by anything you ingest. It'll help nourish you.
A hint: dilute with water and add fruit punch-flavored Crystal Light or equivalent. You will thank me later!
