Product Description
Of all infertility obstacles couples may face, 50% are attributable to women and 50% to men. Now, with Micra male fertility test, you can accurately screen for male infertility issues in the privacy of your own home! Better yet, Micra is the only home sperm test that allows you screen for three primary causes of male fertility issues: measurable sperm presence, sperm concentration/count, and normal sperm motility.
Unlike other home sperm analysis tests on the market, Micra is a complete sperm screening system that allows you to analyze and interpret your own results with a special microscope and interpretation guide. On the microscope lens, you will see an "analysis grid" that allows you to determine the amount of sperm in specified visual fields. The Micra system also allows you determine the number of motile sperm in your semen sample. Micra instructions allow you to contrast your sample with the typical normal count and motility ranges as defined by the World Health Organization.
Easy-to-use, Micra allows you to accurately screen for azoospermia (determination of measurable sperm presence), oligozoospermia (determination of a healthy sperm count of more than 20 million sperm per mL), and asthenospermia (sperm motility of 50% or more "normal motile"). While sperm count is frequently the most commonly recognized male fertility parameter, sperm motility (or the ability of sperm to "swim" in a sustained, progressive manner) is equally critical to sperm health and achieving pregnancy. Micra allows you to determine - at home - if you may be facing these fertility obstacles so you can pursue doctor-approved therapeutic or nutritional treatments. While Micra can alert you to potential fertility issues, only a doctor can confirm a diagnosis. |

Bought this product after TTC for 6 months with no luck. We were able to see the sperm pretty clearly once we got it focused. It only took seconds to get it focused. I recommend zooming all the way in, then slowly zooming out. The only problem I have with this product is how to obtain sperm count. It comes with this "diluted solution" and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with that. The instructions are confusing. I wish that they just told you what normal will look like. Overall, worth the $80. It gave us hope b/c at least we know DH actually has sperm.

This is really a bad testing tool, I tried twice and spent an hour each time to see anything but the microscope doesn't focus at all. I even tried pepper powder and still only shows those square boxes...
I am going to call the customer service to complain against this stupid product...
never buy this product, its a waste and als stressful as i thought i don't have any sperms......

I bought this product because I wanted to check If there is any change in sperm count and motility since my husband's last semen analysis. It shows only semen swimming around or not moving at all If it's dead. It's better to go and have a laboratory test. It's expensive though.

Well, this product has so little documentation that it makes you feel lost if you have any doubt. I expected to find something on the manufacturer website, but was disappointed.
Another grouse i have is, there are disproportionate number of accessories that come with the equipment. There are two disposable cups, two diluted solutions, four slides with chambers, four disposable pipettes and 100 cover glasses. Effectively, two solutions being bottleneck, you cannot carry more than two tests. That makes it real expensive for 80$ (plus shipping).

This thing was awesome. Super easy to use, and the microscope was pre-set. Load up a slide, flick the light on, and you get to watch the little guys doing the decathlon.
