I spend very long hours staring at a computer screen and I apparently forget to blink often enough - this has led to itchy, dry eyes, especially right after a shower following an extended session. These provide immediate relief, and significantly, I can keep a few vials at home, work, backpack, bath cabinet, etc. making them very convenient.
My ophthalmologist recommended using such drops (she did not insist on a brand) and also added a mild +0.7 mag to my prescription astigmatism glasses to use for work. This combination has worked really well and I feel a lot less eye strain (and neck strain! I used to sub-consciously crane my neck close to my hi-res monitor)

I had LASIK 1.5 years ago and the doc told me to get a box of SYSTANE beforehand so I'd have it handy (along with the Rx's). I used them up, but switched to REFRESH soon after. While Systane works fine, I found it left me with blurryish vision and goop in my eyes after it dried. REFRESH leave a little bit of eye goop (like in the am after using at pm), but it doesn't give me the oilier sort of feel of Systane, and it refreshes like the name says. I like the individual vials for hygienic purposes, even though I'm far enough from surgery to be able to use regular bottle drops. I like being careful with my eyes now, so I trust REFRESH.
I also happen to have a ton of allergies, and August-September is the WORST time of year for my eyes. Itchy and red. So, along with my antihistamine Rx drops (Patanol), which tend to dry out my eyes, I use REFRESH to get through these awful months.
I didn't get bad dry eyes after LASIK, I guess I got lucky. My eyes are mostly back to normal. But sometimes, using the computer a lot, or reading a lot, or using fans in the summertime, I do feel the dryness. That's why I keep my medicine cabinet stocked with vials of Refresh.
Great product, even if you never had eye surgery.

These tears are perfect for lasik dryness. I use about 3 of them a day. I am on the computer for over 12 hours a day and I am constantly lubing my eyes up with these things. Once my eyes are lubed up and I start blinking, they feel great again. The vials they come in can be re-closed and reused as long as you do it within 24 hours. They have no preservatives like the doctor recommends. Each vial is small enough to carry in your backpack and pocket. Always have eye drops with you at all time if you had lasik done. Nothing hurts more than an eye lash in your eye or dryness throughout the night. These will save the day.
I alternate between these with Systane. The Systane drops work well too, but cloud my eye up instantly before working. These tears work instantly. The refresh tears are a lot cheaper per vial.

Very good product. I had LASIK surgery about 2 1/2 years ago and dried my eyes out more than they were before. Even though this product hasn't been perfect, it has been the best thing I have found so far without having to get a prescription. Even with this product, you still have to be cautious about dry conditions outside, wind, and fans if you have very dry eyes. I think if this product does not work, you need to go to the eye doctor for a prescription.

Good eye drops especially for those who have had any type of laser eye surgery or frequent dryness. Each vial is generally good for one day for me personally. Great to apply when you first wake up.
