I've been using this for a year and it has been a great help. Just brushing with toothpaste didn't seem to help my gums they were swollen and would bleed. But following the directions of this product and regular use has stopped the bleeding and you can just feel the difference

I received the paste yesterday and was deeply disappointed when I saw list of ingredients. Sure, there are good herbal (and other) ingredients in there, but there are also:
sodium lauryl sulfate
sorbitol
sodium monofluorophosphate
2-bromo,2-nitropropane,1,3-diol
mehtylparaben
sodimsaccharin
aroma (what is that?)
I know some of these I explicitly avoid in anything I use (inside or out). Plenty of people (myself included) don't use fluoride, as it's contraversial, but here it is. Parabens, SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) and saccharin are explicitly excluded from Trade Joe's all natural paste I buy.
I am not qualified to speak about merits of these ingredients, but make sure you do your own research if you feel comfortable with them.

Have used for one month. Definate improvement. Any pain and minor bleeding I had is gone. When using at night before bed, mouth is much fresher - way less nasty in the morning. Single bottles are pricey. The maker on their own website offer deals for multiple bottles for significant savings. That is how I am making my next purchase. Currently can buy 4, get 2 free and free ship. That's the way to go.

I bought this product because I can't afford to go to the dentist and at the age of 42 I'm worried about my receding gum line. But to be honest I don't know that I have any gum disease, as I have not been diagnosed. I do not experience any gum bleeding nor soreness at this time. The product does not seem to have done me any harm, works like a second toothpaste after my other oral hygiene is completed. Tastes ok. My gums seem pink and healthy, but I have not seen any new gum growing back - that was my disappointment. To be fair I've only used this product a couple weeks, sometimes with herbal remedies more time is needed. I would say try it if like me you have no dental insurance, because it doesn't seem to hurt and may help. It does keep my breath fresh longer than alcohol based mouthwash or toothpastes - for that reason alone I would recommend it.
