Though I usually prefer silicone-based lubes, when water-based ones have been called for, I was happily surprised to find that Gun Oil holds it own. Lasts a fairly long time, requires only small doses, and doesn't taste too terrible if you find yourself ingesting a bit. Does, however, contain glycerin, if you are sensitive to that you may want to try a different brand.

I was using either gun oil with oily base and also tried some other popular brands as a lubricant for gay sex. Do I have to spell it out?
The water soluble gun oil lasts throughout the fun without having to add more, has zero problems such as irritation, etc., and cleans up nicely.
On occasion, before insertion, if one needed to taste it, the experience is not unpleasant.
