I bought a small jar at a little shop and asked the cashier if this worked. She went on and on about it, so I bought it. Back in May I spilled a vase full of water on my carpet in my car. Shortly after that the mildew smell started. We washed the carpets to no avail. The smell at one point was so bad that you could smell it from outside of the car from about 15 feet away! I opened the jar and the smell was gone almost immediately. I've left the entire jar open and I can honestly say it has done it's job. The pine smell is gone (although I really liked it) but the mildewy smell is gone too! My mom can't believe the difference! Since it did such a great job in my car I tried a little bit in a dixie cup and put it into the wooden cabinet that hold my garbage and recycling. I know longer have that icky food smell coming from there. This stuff is amazing! I plan on buying the big container and using small amounts throughout the house when things smell icky!

This is a great product and really works to eliminate some of the most powerful odors. We bought our house not realizing there once had been a fire in one of the guest bedroom vents (the HVAC technician was mystefied). We were left with an unpleasant, lingering odor of smoke, especially on warm days. I bought a small jar of Fresh Wave to try and the odor was totally eliminated. A small bowl (2-3 ounces) lasts about three months in a 10x10 room in our mild Northern California climate. If it works on fire smoke, I believe it will work on just about anything. It's not cheap, but amazon has the best price for the 64-oz jar that I've seen. I highly recommend it!

The item works as stated, however mine came with the top melted on. Once it was opened, I could not reseal it. Amazon will not allow an exchange or return for this product. Be warned.
