EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Diabetic Nutrition Rx is a supplement specifically designed for the special needs of diabetics. Our product includes vanadyl sulfate which is a new form of vanadium, a substance which has shown to benefit diabetics greatly. Vanadyl sulfate acts as a insulin "catalyst", enabling diabetics and borderline diabetics to efficiently use the insulin in their system. This is accomplished by the synergistic action of vanadyl sulfate which allows insulin absorption at the receptor site. The restriction or obstruction of insulin at the receptor sites, or insulin resistance, is the greatest problem diabetics face. Supplementation of vanadyl sulfate and chromium in synergistic ratios may help ease insulin resistance and lead to improved glucose metabolism. |

| Excellent idea, poor product by Francois (USA) 1 Stars December 01, 2008 In my view, the philosophy behind this product is sound. Diabetics are known to carry deficiencies in specific vitamins and minerals. Therefore, a supplement oriented to these deficiencies should address diabetes concerns. Unfortunately, this product consistently made me throw up.
Vitamins vary greatly in quality. Some versions of vitamins and minerals are less bio-available than others (e.g. calcium without magenesium) , some actually do harm (e.g. the "left-hand" molecule version of Vitamin E), and sometimes upstream source suppliers have issues (e.g. heavy metal contamination from foreign suppliers). Finding the correct or natural form of a vitamin, in a supplement, is difficult, as this information is not usually given. Also, quality is not standardized.
Issues with this product may have been due to the addition of "digestive enzymes", poor quality control, poor sources or the versions of particular molecules used. In my opinion, the creator should have left out "digestive enzymes" and just focused on the nutrients. Regardless of the reason, this product made me sick every time I took it.
Not recommended.
