EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Breastmilk Storage Bag | Amazon.com Expressing breast milk from work takes a lot of time and dedication, so anything that will make the process easier is appreciated by moms. Storing milk in bottles takes up valuable freezer space and means that you have to keep purchasing more and more bottles to build up your stash of food for baby. These plastic breast milk storage bags come pre-sterilized, and are easy to carry around--as they’re not much bigger than a travel pack of tissues. In fact, they come in a tissue-style dispenser, making them easy to access and store. Each bag stores up to 6 ounces, or 180 milliliters of milk, and seals tightly to preserve freshness. Bags lay flat in the freezer saving plenty of space for more milk or other foods. Milk transfers easily from bag to bottle with no spillage. A tab above the fill area lets you write the express date, volume of milk, and the name of your child (in case you are handing it off to a busy daycare provider for feedings) on the bag without worry that you may puncture and contaminate your milk with ink. For moms who have to temporarily store their milk in a busy office refrigerator, a tamper-evident safety seal on each bag informs you if someone has been in your supply. Each box includes 25 storage bags. --Cristina Vaamonde |

| Fresh Milk by L. Sito 4 Stars October 27, 2009 My daughter wasn't drinking out of the bottle. I didn't know why until I smelled the milk. It had gone bad. So I learned that if you heat the milk ( not boil it) right after you pump then store it in these bags the milk stays fresh, and baby eats while i'm at work. There is no better feeling for you (and grandma whos watching her) when you know that shes happy while you are at work.
| | nice bags by lisa thomas (new york) 5 Stars October 22, 2009 The Lanisoh people really know what they are doing. I use these bags a few times a week and love them. Never had any problems. And its really pleasant because on the bag it says Mommy's Milk and its written in a kiddish handwriting. Every time I see it, it makes me happy that I am providing the best food for my child.
| | Convenient quality bags by Reviewer (USA) 5 Stars October 15, 2009 None of the bags we used leaked so far. The plastic used is quite sturdy. We could even reuse them a few extra times after washing/sterilizing.
They are marked up to 6 ounces, but can store 8 ounces easily, leaving enough space for freezing expansion.
The double zip seal provides extra safety.
| | Best I've tried by SteelieD 5 Stars October 12, 2009 I like these bags. You can fit quite a bit of milk in them and the double zipper top is nice. They're convenient to store, too.
| | very happy by Shannon B Davis (Arlington, MA United States) 4 Stars September 26, 2009 I'm very happy with this product. Because we have an Ameda pump, we find it hard to find the Ameda bags. I had heard that they didn't have great reviews anyway. We found the Lansinoh bags on Amazon and ordered them. So far, they are very easy to use. You continue to pump into the bottle receptacles that come with your pump. Then you can pour the contents into these bags. I haven't had any problems with that - I simply wrap the top of the bag around the bottle and then invert it - no spills.
The bags have a flat tab where you can use an ordinary ballpoint pen to label it with the date and contents. It would be nice if they added a space for your name, in case you were dropping these off at daycare.
There looks to be room for up to 6 oz per bag, probably more but it will expand when frozen. It's easy to reseal - you remove the air and then you have two ziplocs to keep it closed.
My only wish is that there was a safe place to put them in our freezer, some kind of receptacle that would keep the bags together and prevent them from being smushed or broken by other freezer objects.
