Maybe I was expecting more from this product, but was not impressed with how efficient it was with amplifying the sound. It works, but not as I had expected.

This product is well constructed, attractive and easy to use. The use and charging instructions are clear and the device was simple to operate. Three different ear bud sizes are a plus, however, none of them fit into my ear properly. The device kept slipping out of my ear after a few minutes and would not stay in. This may simply be that the openings to my ears are small and unusually shaped. Even when I managed to hold it in place, it did not perform as well as I expected. When the sound reached the level of amplification that was satisfactory for me, the unit made the buzzing sound which, according to the instructions meant that the volume was up too high. The product just does not work for me personally although it seems to be a good product.

The Stealth S.S.A. is very good value for the money. The device is easy to use and works as advertised. There was a minor problem which was solved by a very cooperative Customer Service. After I received it, it kept slipping out of my ear even though the rubber wire around the ear fit snugly. The problem was with one of the three soft ear tips that fits over the part that ins inserted in the ear. The device comes with three different sizes. I needed a larger size. I called Customer Service, which responded by sending me free of charge several of the next larger size. The device now fits perfectly.

I love this little gadget. The Stealth amplifier has rechargeable batteries so you don't have to change them all the time at great expense. The use time is pretty good, a whole afternoon of seeing clients for me or an evening of tv. The sound quality is very adjustable; if you are getting a squeel or echoe, a simple volume adjustment takes care of it. One fun thing I noticed the first time I tried it out was I could hear my neighbors talking in their back yard. Granted, the houses are close, but still. I guess it will come in handy when I want to know what someone is saying on the other side of a room. My husband loves the Stealth too because now I can hear him when he starts muttering to me from the basement.
I have only one small negative. The device was hard for me to get to stay on my ear. The rubber covered wire that goes over your ear is completely bendable in all directions, so I was finally able to get a configuration that worked to accomodate my small ear and large glasses stem.
To finish my comments, I think this is a dandy device that's reasonably priced and is easier to use than another similar one I got last year; that one was flimsy and immediately broke when I tried to change it's batteries.
So yes, the Stealth S.S.A. is well worth the price and should give long service as long as the rechargeable batteries last.
