It works as promised!. Let's say that you've taken your kids to the local library. As you're leaving to go back to the car, you whack you head on the door and open a scalp laceration that won't stop bleeding. You take the QuikClot out of the first Aid kit in your car, open the package and put it directly on the laceration and the bleeding stops instantly.
