I ordered this product because of the high ratings on EWG, unfortunately it gave me geisha-face and made me break out. I may try it again with a moisturizer underneath to see if it prevents breakouts. But on the whole I don't find it very skin friendly :(

I was hoping this could be the only product I put on every morning -- moisturizer, sunscreen and tint instead of foundation all-in-one. Unfortunately it doesn't moisturize my skin very well. I have to put on a cream moisturizer first because it's a little chalky. It is a good sunscreen, though, and I feel good about the fact that it was rated in the top 5 sunscreen products by the Environmental Work Group as being non-toxic.

I like that this is SPF 30 - which is hard to find in a daily moisturizer, and the tinting is very nice and does a great job of covering up my (seemingly permanent) pregnancy mask. This is the only organic product I could find with SPF 30, and the only organic product I could find with tinting. However, the lotion is too chalky to put on. I have to use another face cream first so that this goes on without leaving blobs of tint on my face. The smell is a bit medicine-y as well. If you are willing to use two lotions in the morning, this stuff is great. But right now, my other daily lotion is the organic Vitamin C SPF 15 - which also ain't cheap - so it's a spendy combination. Perhaps with a cheaper, non SPF organic daily moisturizer cream, they would work well together, extend the life of the Creme De Jour (since it will spread more easily and you can use less), but as it stands alone, the product is too chalky (despite vigorous shaking prior to use). Even better would be if I could combine them in another bottle, but given the expense of the Creme De Jour, I'm afraid of spilling half of it in the process.

I have used Creme de Soleil for quite a while and I love it so I decided to try the Creme de Jour on my kids(it is less expensive and my kids do not need a screen with anti-aging ingredients!). My teenage daughter is breaking out and all of the other screens that we tried cloged her pores. I talked to the people at Marie Veronique Organics and they explained that the waxes in most screens clog pores. I think that they are right...this is the first screen that she is willing to use. It is not greasy and she likes how the tinted makes her skin look. I put the non tinted on my younger kids because it is the only screen that I can find that is made without harmful chemicals or nanoparticles.
