These blankets are well designed. The hoods seem like a useful feature to keep rain off, and the "pockets" inside the blanket can be used to pull the blanket closed. I have used a lot of space blankets over the years and I like these more than most. For the price, they are a good value.

You're average 2 dollar emergency blanket is almost impossible to reuse. While possible to transform a cheap emergency blanket into a tent with some duct tape and a hole puncher, have metal reinforced holes goes a long way in durability. Whether you're getting this as a high quality emergency blanket, poncho, emergency tent, or all of those combined, this will satisfy. The hood and hand pockets in two of the corners make a big difference in how well this functions.
I recommend this to anyone who's interested in camping, hiking, or emergency preparedness. Money well spent!
