Angiostop is extracted from a special sea cucumber in the South China seas. Its active fraction has been shown through in vitro and in vivo studies to inhibit angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) and also inhibit receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). Studies show that the active fraction inhibits 4 different angiogenesis-related RTKs. By stopping the cytokines from binding to their corresponding RTKs, factors such as angiogenesis and proliferation are inhibited and apoptosis (programmed cell death) is induced. * Inhibits 4 receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs):VEGFR, FGFR, PDGR, EGFR * Inhibits new blood vessel formation * Induces apoptosis Inhibiting the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) is the most important because it stops angiogenesis, cutting off nutrient and blood supply to the tumor. Angiostop also inhibits EGFR (epidermal), PDGFR (platelet-derived), and FGFR (fibroblast), fora broad-spectrum inhibitory effect. CASE REPORTS: 1. L. Mann, OMD, LAc from CA, has a 42-year-old female patient with an estradiol level of 690 in Sept. 2003. A mammogram revealed that she had a very invasive ductal carcinoma in situ in the left breast. After a lumpectomy and using Myomin, Angiostop, and Revivin for 4 months, her estradiol reduced to 35 and she's cancer free. 2. V. Rakitin, ND from IL, has a 45-year-old female patient with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with tumors in the armpit, neck and under the rib. She immediately started on the Chi program. On the 3rd week, she started 3 courses of chemo. After 6 weeks of chemo, her tumors cleared. Her doctor says that normally it takes 6 months, not 6 weeks, to reduce the size of the tumors with chemo. 3. A. Masters, ND from OH, reports on a 66-year-old male patient with an inoperable fatty tumor on the brain stem the size of a golf ball.
