It looks like it should be a great product. The laser ball thing is kinda cool (though I dont have much need for it.) What I really need is a stud finder. This product is nice, compact, and cheap. Unfortunately, it only finds the studs about 30% of the time. So, if you want a stud finder that finds some studs some of the time, this is for you! If you want a stud finder that reliably finds studs, keep looking.
As you may guess, I am returning the product.

I should have kept the one I had, but the carpenter I hired was having so much trouble finding studs, I felt sorry for the guy. Now I miss mine, I'll probably find another one real soon.

This is the perfect thing to keep around for hanging pictures, shelves, mirrors, wall decorations, and whatever else. Zircon makes a great product, and I highly recommend this to have around.

This product is a total joke, don't waste your money. The laser ball is held in place by replacable peel off stickers which don't hold the ball in place.....and when you run out of the dozen or so that they give what do you do next???

I had no problem with the StudSensor finding studs, works very well. This is a first for me using the LaserBall. I think that little tool is great. I mounted 5 shelf supports, total of 16' of wall. I set the LaserBall and marked all 5 supports at once for height. A perfect and easy job, and didn't require the assistance of another person. A very useful tool and a time saver.
