Great Little LED Keychain! Nice to Have. by Leebo (USA)  5 Stars

I have owned several different LED keychain lights. All of them did not have replaceable batteries, so when they ran out of juice I had to throw the away. This one says it has a replaceable lithium battery although the instructions that came with it do not clearly show how to replace the battery. I guess you have to remove the keyring and pry the case apart. Otherwise I really do like the light for a number of reasons.
Pros:
1: The on/off is switched. You do not have to hold the sides of the light squeezed in order for the light to come on.
2: There are different brightness levels and blinking levels. You just squeeze and hold the button on and it will slowly brighten and then you can continue to hold it after it reaches full brightness and blinks and then you will enter the flashing mode where different rates of flashing modes will cycle thru. It's pretty neat.
3: The light output is nice and bright and is a cool white light.
4: The privacy cone around the LED is also very nice as it focuses the light where you need it and not shining out the side of the LED back at you. It makes you LED light a spot light rather than a beacon light.
5: Good price.
Cons:
1: The blinking feature originally did not work for me. When I first opened the package I could not get it to flash mode. Now as I'm writing this review it works! It must know....
2: The instructions are not very well written and do not tell what type of replacement battery you will need. I suppose the company would you rather purchase a new one, but wants to market the product as a "green" product.
Overall I'm very happy with this light and will continue to have it on my keychain for as long as it works. I will even try to replace the battery when a new one is needed rather than throwing a perfectly good piece of equipment in the trash.

This is the 4th Photon I have owned. By far the brightest! This sucker is really bright. The privacy shield on it works very well. I thought it might not be so good as a flood, but I was wrong. In fact it's better than my last one(Freedom 2) I like the new electronic switch design, but it has turned itself on in my pocket a few times... Hence only a 4...

If you are into gadgets and flashlights (or if you're just looking for a great keychain light), you will love this thing. I think it's their newest version (as of March 2009)and it supposedly has a brighter LED (I don't have an older version to compare to but it IS quite bright for such a small light). You can dim the bulb to conserve batteries or change to a variable rate blink (slow to super fast safety blink such as bike lights have). It is packaged with, or at least mine was, both a very tiny neck lanyard that the light can clip into and a swivel joint adjustable hat visor clip attachment which the light can also clip into and which, amazingly, also has little magnets on it so you could attach it to the inside of a car hood or something. Batteries are replaceable CR-2016 which is a pretty common size of "watch" battery. This is a very well thought out product.

This is a great saver - it is used to put on a door over a combination lock to be able to see the numbers when dialing the combo - what a great thing and very helpful and useful.
