I have been using the Leatherman Wave for 6 years now and it's never let me down. The innovative commonly used blades on the outside feature is still the best thing I've ever seen happen to multi-tools. It has all my most used tools (knives, pliers with wire cutters, saw, and scissors) plus some other handy items, like the ruler. It is super durable, and with a little Tender Loving Care (wash, dry, and WD-40) it will last pretty much forever. Definitely worth the investment over a cheap multi-tool. It is heavy (I am a backpacker) but usually quite worth the extra weight. Gives a lot of peace of mind about unexpected situations. Mmmm, and it functions so tight and smooth:)

The product received had the saw hold open keeper cam follower broken.
Leatherman tools have a lifetime warranty.
I sent it to them and Leatherman replaced it with a new Wave Multitool.
All in all it is a wonderful tool from a wonderful company. I have carried their original tool for over 15 years and I enjoy the upgrade.

Since I have recieved the leatherman wave tool. I have found it to be very handy. Have used the leatherman for small jobs around the house and also when out fishing.. I find the leatherman is absolutly brilliant and is underestimated..A great buy.

This model seems to be very good and sturdy. I only wish it included an awl. I haven't had it for very long but so far nothing has bent or broken and it appears it will not rust when wet.
