Strong Magnets! by J. Underdown (OR, USA) 5 Stars September 15, 2009 I got these magnets to use as a stud finder in my apartment. I think the walls are 1/2 inch textured drywall, but using all 4 together, finding screws in studs is a snap. These magnets are strong enough to have all 4 sticking out from the wall without me holding them when they're placed over a screw. They work great!

Not good enough by A. Wright (Akron, OH) 1 Stars July 04, 2009 These magnets are not strong enough to find metal backing or metal studs through 5/8" dry wall. They can only find screw heads. If you use them daily like I do, buy stronger ones. These are going back. I hope I save somene their money!

Very Powerful magnets! These are hard not to play with but be careful! by Jesse J. Jackson (Nebraska) 5 Stars June 22, 2009 These are some of the most powerful magnets I've ever found. They are very effective for a lot of legitimate uses, but they are also addictive to play with. You must be careful when playing with them though because they will snap together so hard they will easily chip each other.
