I purchased this dryer for my two miniature poodles and I LOVE it. Please don't let the other negative reviews sway you; it's no louder than many other dog dryers on the market and my poods weren't bothered by it at all. It dries fast (cut my drying time in half) and I don't even have to continually brush my poodles to get a nice, fluffy blow-out. The lightweight design is also perfect for transport. Air temp is perfect (doesn't get hot) and the nozzle attachments work well.
If you want an inexpensive, portable dryer that's lightweight and easy to use -- highly recommend this one.

and fought and fought to get loose and run away. The blow-dryer sounds like a loud vacuum cleaner. The warm air is very pleasant and beats a human hair dryer hands down.
I wish the dryer came with a super long hose so it could be coiled around a door in another room, so the sound would not be so intense.
Maybe a well padded/carpeted room makes a difference too versus a hollow sounding/hard floored bathroom, the way sound carries.
All in all I am satisfied with this product but maybe the manufacturer could improve on future models the decibel level and tone it down quite a bit, especially when it concerns the very sensitive hearing and vacuum phobia of dogs.

I am a dog lover and dog mom! I am owned by 2 cavalier king charles spaniels, 1 golden retriever and 2 yellow labs. My mother stays summers with me she has 2 cavaliers also. 7 dogs in all. I have all sizes and coat types represented. This product is fantastic! I was hesitant because of the first review, but decided to try it anyway, (can always send it back,right?) Boy am I glad I went with it. This dryer comes out of the box ready to go to work! I washed all 7 dogs while my mom dried. The dryer has a 3 foot hose coming out of the box, yes BUT, when you turn the dryer on the hose extends to 6 feet by itself. Also, it has a cord which is just over six feet as well. No reason to have unit right next to your animal while drying. I used it outside and hung the unit on the door using the included shoulder strap. How handy is that!?! My Golder retriever was over due for grooming and the dryer really helped get all the shedding fur! It was amazing. All four little dogs were dry extremely fast and none were bothered by the noise from this dryer. Yes, it is loud but no louder that your own blowdryer. Also, this blows out the air at the perfect temp! Not to hot, just slightly warm so as not to overheat your dog. It also came with mounting hooks for the wall and two types of nozzle heads.Highly recomend this dryer and it is affordable. It pays for itself in 2 groomings!

I purchased this dryer as a motorcycle dryer. It doesn't do that great a job. The air volume and volocity is lacking. I'll let my wife try it on the dog, maybe she will like it better.

After reading previous reviews I was, perhaps, expecting too much. I have a Chihuahua, Fox Terrier and a Dalmatian. Drying took about 10 Min. for the Chihuahua with a very short coat, fine. However after about 20 Min. the Fox Terrier with a medium long coat was still not dry. Using my regular hair dryer it takes only about 15 Min. to dry her. Have not tried it on the Dal yet, but so far, not very impressed.
