Having two small children and a busy household, I wanted an easily cleaned, nice looking toilet seat that wouldn't be constantly "clanging" down after every child visit. The duraguard antimicrobial finish feels a little cold when you first sit on it, but "feels" clean (even if that sounds silly).
There are two main reasons for getting this seat though.
1) The whisper quiet lid and seat, are just that, they glide slowly down even when pushed, no more slamming lids and seats!
2) After installation, two simply turns with your hand and the WHOLE seat lifts off for thorough cleaning of both the seat, and the bowl surround. It's as quick to remove and replace as it is to get a brush and "once around" the bowl.
All this for under $50 - you can keep your designer stuff - this is clean, safe and smart!
