It features a test button and a silence button that temporarily quiets both the carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. When battery is low, the warning "chirp" and light flashes. The alarm makes different horn sounds and light flash patterns for carbon monoxide and smoke. |

Pure garbage, avoid first alert by gaga  1 Stars

This product is unusable, it randomly goes off giving false alarms all day long. I have lived in quite a few different places over the years, one thing i noticed over time is any place i move to that has a First Alert detector, i ended up replacing within a week or so with my own due to the fact it constantly giving false alarm or not working at all, while apartments that has a kidde detector, i never have to do anything just changing the battery every 6 months.
To summarize, avoid first alert, get a kidde.

I bought four for four different flows. It was ok for 3-4 years. But now, it is paste it's warranty period.
Slowly each alarm eventually started giving false alarms, and chirps. In addition, it is extremely sensitive. Cannot really cook without it going off. It is not to a point that I have to replace all of them.
definitely would not recommend this.

Seems to go off for no reason in the middle of the night. I tried opening the unit to shake out the dust - only there wasn't any. I went on vacation and had to get my father to go to my house and disconnect the unit because it was keeping the neighbors awake. It also kept me up when I was sick. The unit is nice and quiet when you remove the battery; of course, then it doesn't protect you either. Real Garbage!! Do NOT buy!!

The CO detector is the third we've had and they have alll gone to the garbage. The last one is sitting beside me with the sensor module pulled out. It goes off about once an hour no matter where it is placed. I would have to say that First ALert seems to make pure "junk".
