Product Description
Scorpion quick flip bagless hand vac with a crevice tool.

Amazon.com Review
Convenient and portable, the lightweight Dirt Devil Scorpion picks up spills and small messes with ease. The 7-amp motor suctions everything from soccer-cleat dirt to cookie crumbs. Constructed of durable, black plastic, the small vessel features a 16-foot chord, optional hose with upholstery brush attachment, and a shoulder strap to ease carrying. Distinguishing itself from other Scorpions, this model offers a convenient flip-down crevice tool enabling immediate access to tight spaces--and preventing misplacement of the tool. Emptying the vacuum requires no bags; a dirt cup and filter remove easily and can be reattached with little effort. Measuring 12-1/2 by 5 by 7 inches, this product is backed by a 3 year warranty on all parts. -- Amy Arnold

Helpful Hand Vac by Herbert W. Stanford III 4 Stars
October 20, 2009
This vac is much more powerful than the typical battery powered hand vac. But, it is also loud and the air blowback is significant (watch you refrigerator magnets go flying!) This like the "shop vac" of hand vacs...handy when you really need it, but irritating to use.

Loud but has good suction power by Waiping Lau (Florida USA) 4 Stars

I have had the Dirt Devil Scorpion vacuum for about 3 years and it's pretty good. I only use it about 4-6 times a year. It's not broken and don't expect to replace it anytime soon. I hope it lasts forever. 5 STARS=EXCELLENT 0 STAR=POOR SUCTION POWER - 5 STARS: This is a small handheld vacuum but the suction power is incredible! You get even more suction power when you flip on the green tip (and it's attached! you can't lose it). I use it clean the filters from my Frigidaire AC unit and my (Rabbit Air) Air Purifier. The motor is powerful and it does not run on battery charges, just good old straight from the wall electricity. FILTER - 1.5 STARS: The filter inside the vacuum is kind of flimsy and clothy. When I vacuum, I can't shake off the dust from the filter, it kinds of sticks onto the filter, and I have to peel away the layers of dust. To some people, doing this is a dealbreaker, there's no way around it. Remember, I vacuum small dust particles, not large objects like Cheerios. I always have to rinse the filter with water in the kitchen sink and let it dry overnight. ***Note: Other people, may have other opinions due to what they vacuum. I posted some pics, you be the judge.*** NOISE - 0 STARS: It's loud...very loud. At first use, it may startle you or your pets, and gets annoying after a while. It has a small whine to it. It gets louder when you flip on the green tip. ATTACHMENTS - 3 STARS: Comes with a two attachments: One hose (~28 inches) and one brush attachment. There's nothing extraordinary about it. I use the hose attachment and the green tip the most. I don't really use the brush attachment so I can't comment. You can connect the brush attachment directly onto the vacuum. WEIGHT - 3.5 STARS: It's less than 4 pounds but it can be tiring to hold if used too long...I think that's why it comes with a shoulder strap. I don't use the shoulder strap because the vacuum gets a little too warm for me. When I vacuum, I attach the hose and put the vacuum on the floor but it may tilt on it's side (be careful when doing this, please do not vacuum while the unit is on its side). I would like to see a better filter design, a grounded plug, and a sturdy base (so it doesn't roll to its side). OVERALL, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HANDHELD VACUUM if you want suction power, I would not recommend this vacuum to people with dust allergies, since cleaning the filter is not ideal for some people. It does the job but it's not perfect. I used to own a Dustbuster and the suction was poor because it ran on batteries, I eventually threw it away. Since the Dirt Devil Scorpion is corded, the suction power will not wane like cordless vacuums. This product seems to be made of good quality and I expect it to last for a long time. ***I posted some pics about the filter, hope it helps***

Powerful suction, great value for $ by Robert G. Hoppe 5 Stars

This is much more powerful than the cordless Shark I threw out. The cordless was convenient but was powerless after 5 minutes of use. This has a long cord, no recharging, and superior suction.

This is a very powerful little machine! by K. Noble (Maryland, USA) 5 Stars

I bought this to use on our boat. I knew a cordless one wouldn't be up to the job in either power or staying power. This machine practically rips itself out of your hand with the power of its motor when you start it, and it gets the yellow (Golden) dog hair off the black carpet just great! And it gets into the corners well, too. It's kind of loud, but I'll tolerate that for the power it has. I recommend it highly.

Small yet powerful by Kathy (RI) 5 Stars

This is the second Scorpion Quick Flip that I have owned. I was devastated when my first one broke after about 8 years. I love the attached flip crevice tool and it is very powerful. I would recommend this vacuum for everyone! It can be used in both the home and also in the car.
