When my 15 yr old kitty was diagnosed with kidney problems, I started giving her these pills twice daily. Her Creatinine values remained steady for a long while, & at the vets suggestion, we tried weaning her off of all her medicines, she was doing so well. A month & 1/2 later, she was down to 7.2 lbs from her original 16, & her Creatinine values were down significantly. We've started giving her the Renal Essentials again, and she is beginning to perk up a bit again. We will see what happens & we hope for the best.

My holistic veterinarian recommended Renal Essentials 1 1/2 years ago for my 17-year-old cat when his creatine levels became elevated. He has other health issues - he's FIV-positive and has bad teeth - but the Renal Essentials are not expensive, I grind them up and put him in his food, and his creatine levels have stayed the same. I'm not a vet, but when I started giving him these, he seemed to become a little perkier and started eating and drinking a little more.
