CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.0 based on 48 reviews)
| Great product for price. by C. J. Vazquez 5 Stars October 26, 2009 This is the most standard and basic microwave you can find out there. The features are very basic but are great for the price. A nice and convenient item you can put almost anywhere. Great for offices or for dorm rooms.
| | Sharp microwave by misscall (TN, USA) 5 Stars October 23, 2009 I ordered this microwave for overnight delivery, and it was here the next morning! The unit does a good job, although it is a little noisy. Also, the light does not stay on when the door is opened. My first unit was a Sharp, which lasted for 8 or 9 years. Then I had a GE which only lasted for 18 months. Hopefully this one will last as long as the first one.
| | not what they said by lily pad (United States) 2 Stars September 23, 2009 I read the review for the Sharp and a few said that the light did not stay on when the door opened. I called the Sharp company, and they say it did, lights stay on as soon as the door is opened, on and after. That was a blatant lie. The light is on when you push on only. When you close the door, it closes with a loud "bam", no matter when pushed gently or just closed, so I just leave it open til I need to use it again. That crowds the counter space. The see-through window is awkward to see through, probably design fault. I would not recommend buying this particulr model.
| | Three Of Us Use This Every Day With Great Results by carol irvin (United States) 5 Stars August 29, 2009 I used to have a huge microwave which worked fine but when it finally died on me, I went to this sleeker, compact model. We've had it for four years now. We use it for everything: baking potatoes, cooking corn on the cob, making popcorn, boiling pasta, heating lean cuisines, melting cheese, thawing frozen bread and so forth. It is still going strong and I am buying more cooking equipment which one can use to cook in the microwave. I now have a pasta boiler for the microwave and it works great in this oven. We use the oven every single day and I would buy another in a flash if this broke. I got this for under fifty bucks at my warehouse club so I have gotten every penny out of my purchase.
| | Electronics failed after 4 months by Moroni Marten (Utah) 1 Stars July 27, 2009 This microwave worked adequately for about four months. Then it began having strange electronics problems. I pressed "start" and it wouldn't work. I had to unplug and replug the appliance. But soon even that didn't work, but a good whack on the side did the trick.
After another month or so, even unplugging or whacking it didn't stun the unit into operation. The only way to cook was to use the defrost or popcorn auto modes. Then, just as suddenly as the problem came, it completely went away and the unit worked perfectly. That lasted only a few days, until the "start" button failed to work again. (sigh)
After another few weeks, the "stop" button (along with the "start" button) no longer worked. Sometimes a very strong whack on the side (enough to put large dents in the unit) would work, but mostly not and it would appear completely dead.
So . . . since this cheap-o of a microwave costs more to repair than to replace, it seems I will just need to buy another one. More and more, it seems these microwaves are "disposable" appliances (probably built in China?).

| Proctor Silex 22605 2-Slice Toaster by Proctor Silex
Over 2,000 years ago, soldiers scorched bread by placing it on rocks in bright sun. The aim was to preserve bread over several days for consumption during days of battle. Alot has changed over the years but people still enjoy toasted bread. It practically makes a simple sandwich a culinary delight. What would you rather have - "eggs and bread" or "eggs and toast". According to anecdotal statistics, toast wins by significant margins. It has become a basic staple in our diets. The Proctor Silex...
