The product description says, "Bacillus Subtilis is a beneficial fungus." Anything in the genus bacillus is a bacteria, not a fungus. Like many other bacteria - such as those on your own skin's mantle - this one competes successfully with fungi, creating an environment they don't find fun. It does this with no harm whatsoever to the plant. It provides a people-and-plant safe, broad spectrum, antifungal treatment.
