Product Description
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are uncomfortable and extremely painful. They tend to be more common in cats than dogs and can be caused by bacterial infection, bladder stones or urolithiasis (stones in the urinary tract). UTIs often recur and can lead to more serious kidney infections if left untreated. Conventional treatment of UTIs will depend on the specific cause of the problem. In many cases, antibiotics are prescribed which invariably relieve the animals symptoms rather speedily. However antibiotics tend to have a general weakening effect on the immune system which can cause further problems, especially in the long-term and particularly if they are prescribed regularly for recurrent infections. A few months ago our Maine Coon started what we like to call the "litter box dance" where she would go in and out every few minutes, strain to urinate, and sometimes yowl in pain. When we noticed a bit of blood in her urine, we immediately took her to the vet who confirmed it was in fact a UTI. After multiple vet visits, two rounds of antibiotics, a breakout in hives, and $800 in bills she was UTI free. Unfortunately, the litter box dance started again a month later and this time I did NOT want to expose her to the additional stress of more tests and powerful antibiotics, so I went out on a limb and ordered UTI Free from PetAlive after reading the positive reviews. I admit I was skeptical but I researched the ingredients and they seem to be genuine homeopathic remedies. And they WORK. I keep our cat on a maintenance dose (once or twice per day) and increase (up to 6 per day) if she ever shows signs of the litter box dance. After just a few doses she is calmer, more playful, and is urinating more easily. In a few days, the UTI is gone and she's back to her normal cat self. I sprinkle the dose on a teaspoon of her favorite wet food and she doesn't even seem to notice it. UTI Free has improved the quality of our cat's life tremendously and I highly recommend it.

My cat was running through the house screaming in pain and was in and out of the litter box every minute or so, unable to go more than a drop at a time. I had to make an emergency appointment with the vet. After the vet ran a urinalysis she said she couldn't find any bacteria and sent us home. The cat was practically climbing the walls and running from room to room, howling in pain. I couldn't catch him to give put it in his mouth because he was in such pain and was acting like he was afraid of me. I gave him these pills on some wet food every 30 minutes for a few hours and within no time he was lying on the bed peacefully. I continued with the treatment twice a day for a few weeks and eventually stopped with no recurrence of symptoms. I never told my vet. I don't think she would believe it!

One of my 5 month old kittens has had urinary tract infections and crystals in his urine since we got him at 8 weeks old. After his course of antibiotics was done, the infection cleared up, but he still had crystals and very concentrated urine.
Now they have a water fountain and I use PetAlive UTI-Free once a day sprinkled over his food, and he urinates more easily and in greater amounts. He seems much more relaxed and happy.

UTI Free has apparently worked quite well for our cat who periodically has blood in the urine and behaves erratically and urinates in bathtubs and other places outside the litter box. The product worked within a couple days. No blood anymore and only uses the litter box now. I am fortunate in that our cat is not especially difficult to give this type of medicine.
