The package shark does the job reasonably well. However, it takes more manipulation and fiddling that it should, along with significant strenth (over other types of cutters in this class).
The scissors are a toy and nothing more. I will grant that they gnaw through paper and some light clothes, but barely. They are quite loud for what they are and the cut is always jagged.
I'd look to other products first.

This product was completely useless! I don't understand how stuff like this is still on the market. It didn't do anything but splinter off pieces of the still sealed packages I tried to open with it. This was a present for my husband so I kept trying, hoping we would figure it out and get it to work but it just broke. It actually lasted about 1 hour out of its packaging. To add insult to injury, the freaking scissors it came with were broken right out of the package. We put in new batteries and it didn't even turn on.

I don't see how the seller back up this product for 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I wrote to them for a return and no more replied. It is very easy to decribe this product...a piece of junk. It doesn't worth a star at all.

The package shark was a disappointment overall. I've seen better opening tools on the market - in fact Amazon sells the best one by far. the Open It! by Zibra. The battery scissors with the shark do not work very well at all.

Well, after receiving this product in the mail (as stated in the previous reviews, you get two) we opened our first one with scissors and tried to open the second one with this "wonderful new tool." It broke! What we've purchased here are two VERY expensive razor blades... because the plastic housing (difficult to adjust) broke. This is a great idea, if it were designed as a re-loadable unit in a better housing... but I can't say whether or not it really would work. BUYER BEWARE... We were definitely taken and sorry to have to admit it.
