I read the reviews on these and the green ones and decided to go with these. So glad I did! It took me a time or two to get the timing right to get the eggs poached perfectly, but now i'm a pro! These make is sooo easy, just follow instructions. I usually lift the lid to check the color or the egg while steaming, so I know when their done. You want the whole thing to go opaque white, as soon as the yolk turns, leave it on a tad longer, then it;s great. If you let it go to long after yolk turns, the yolk will be like a fried egg (hard). I am so happy with these, I am ordering four more sets for friends and family for Christmas and birthday gifts! It seriously took me less than 15 minutes to make eggs Maryland (like eggs benedict but substitute crab for canadian bacon.) Got to say it took about 5 minutes to eat it, it was so delicious! These things are a great invention, and anyone thinking of trying to poach eggs and looking for a poacher, get these!

I bought two sets of these and am planning to buy more as stocking stuffers and gifts for friends. I use just the smallest amount of butter to line the poacher before adding the egg and steaming. The top of these poachers keeps them level while still allowing steam exchange when I put the lid on the pan. I serve the egg right in the cute poacher (usually with a napkin underneath to absorb any water). Clean up is easy - a little more scrubbing is involved if you don't use butter or oil when you cook. I hate poaching eggs. These make it a breeze. I love them so much I have bought three sets!! I would strongly advise anyone who loves poached eggs to buy these!!!!!

These poachers are great. I just place them in the microwave with a little Pam and an egg or egg whites. Just 30 to 40 seconds later, perfect poached eggs. Can't be beat on busy mornings.
