I thought this item was great for its price, the neck is very flexible and allows you to see more in a book than other book lights. Great price too.

I was looking for a light for my Kindle Dx and this turned out to do a very good job. It does require adjustment to reduce glare, but overall it provides a good amount of light for reading in the dark, and it clamps safely and snugly onto my Kindle.

Great book light. I don't get why people are saying it isn't bright enough because this thing can light up half a room. Its a book light not a house lamp. It's light and it can plug in to a usb port in your computer so you can use your laptop at night too.

Note: I'm using this with my kindle 1.
I bought this light along with the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Book Light with Adaptor - Purple because I wasn't sure which I would like better. Plus, I was hoping this one would be easier to take on trips.
This one is nice because it is lightweight and easy to tote around. Problem is, it stopped working for a while. I'm not sure why, but then one day (maybe a month later), I tried it again and it was working. The light has dimmed significantly and I can't use it while in bed and in complete darkness--it would be fine in a dimly lit area (like a plane), but in my bedroom, it is too dim. It could be the battery, but I haven't used it for very long (a total of maybe 5-6 hours) and it shouldn't be so dim.
The Mighty bright is heavier (it holds 2 AAA batteries in the base), but it is much more reliable. I also got it with the plug so I can run off ac power instead of batteries, which makes it lighter. I'd recommend the Mighty bright over this one.
If the battery on this one were better and it didn't stop working intermittently, then I would be much happier to use this one.
