Enisyl F is an oral paste L-Lysine HCI Nutritional Supplement for cats. Enisyl-F is used for treatment of Feline Herpes Virus (FHV-1). Wonderful product. Our vet recommended L-lysine for our (rescued) kitten who suffered from Feline Herpes. It hasn't complete cured her sneezing, but it has helped. She and her brother LOVE this stuff. They get a "helping" (as dispensed by the handy pump on the bottle) morning and night and come running when we go near the cabinet we keep it in.
Our cats hate to take pills and I hate to try to give them pills, but they love their L-lysine so much I can just hide the pills in the paste!
The price on this product is right, too. About a third of what a vet would probably charge.
I love this product and trust that it will never be discontinued.

A few weeks ago, when we were on vacation, my cat started sneezing... a LOT. I called her vet and asked what they would suggest I do. They said that they now prescribe L-lysine supplements for kitties with colds, and that providing she didn't develop any other, more serious symptoms, I should try to get ahold of some and give her 1,000 mg a day, in two doses.
Well, what I bought, at a local veterinary hospital, was Enisyl-F. I wanted to try putting it in her food first, since that would be by far the easiest way to administer it; but I was highly skeptical of the product's claim to be "highly palatable" and "extremely tasty". Imagine my surprise when my cat DEVOURED the food with the Enisyl-F mixed in! After a couple of days I realized that I didn't even have to mix it in, that I could just put the Enisyl-F on top of her food and she would lap it right up.
I can't recommend this product highly enough. Not only does my finicky cat love the taste, but her cold was completely gone within a week and the supplement seemed to improve her appetite as well (since my cat is on a very monotonous Rx diet for IBS, this is a huge plus). I decided to keep her on the Enisyl-F indefinitely, at the supplemental dose (250 mg twice daily). With the metered pump doses it is extremely easy to dispense, no need to measure anything. I have two cats with feline herpes and this oral additive helps prevent outbreaks but it is expensive to buy at the vets. I can buy three on this website for what I would pay for one at the Vets- a very good deal!

Best medicine for sick kitties. When there are eye, nose, throat problems that are resistant to antibiotics it really helps with healing. Just squirt on food morning and evening. The cats we've been treating are difficult cases that were rescued feral cats. Did all the usual vet tests and treatments but problems lingered. Finally the vet suggested trying ensyl on our worst case and it did wonders. Now we use it on all cats that are resistant to antibiotics. All the cats had dark matter on edge of noses, eye corners,and had inflamed gums. Both Clavamox and anerobic antibiotics were used for extended and/or repeated periods. Some dental work under anesthesia was also performed. It was the ensyl that finally cleared things up but it takes time. Be patient. However it is easy to use and good buys (1/2 what the vet charges) are available on Amazon.Com
