I didn't get these for compression, I got them because I spend all day typing on my computer, and when it's cold, my hands stiffen up and slow down. They aren't quite warm enough for the coldest winter days - I still have to wear more wool-like gloves then. But for spring and fall, when it's not that cold, but your HANDS are, they're perfect because they're thin and lightweight. One useful feature is that you can either wear them right-side or inside-out, so whenever I remove them (which is multiple times a day when I'm doing other things besides typing), they're easy to just peel off from the top, rather than finger-by-finger. They're washable, and they're also useful as glove-LINERS, under heavier gloves when you need a little extra warmth. I found these gloves to be a useful product.

I bought these for my father who was having some pain in his hands, but the material was so flimsy, they did not compress at all and rendered completely useless. My weight lifting gloves compressed more than these!! I would recommend buying these from a store so the use can actually try them on first.

These do help, and they are more like light compression gloves. The only problem I had was that after a lot of wear, they can come apart on the edges (easy enough to repair).
