The Ewbank Earlex RayCop is a wonderful new product that should be used by all people who suffer from allergies, and people who fight with Asthma on a seemingly daily basis. This machine uses UV-C rays to sterilize up to 99.9% of all micro organisms that are living inside your mattress. Studies show you spend 1/3 of your life in your bed, but it is usually the place you clean the least, if at all! In an average mattress, there are approximately 1-2 million dust mites living in the average persons mattress. Dust Mites feed on our dead skin cells, which are also very numerous in the average mattress. With the combination of UV-C Anti-Bacterial Ray, a vibrating pad that loosens the dust mites, and throws them directly into the UV ray, and a strong vacuum that sucks all the now dead dust mites through anti allergen filtration filters, the RayCop will for sure help improve the lives of even the most severe cases of Asthma, and allergies. Not only will the RayCop kill dust mites, but the UV-C light will also damage the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. This works well on very light fabrics but doesn't on colored or darker fabrics. If you have anything but white sheets and comforter etc. it doesn't turn the light on. It is a little cumbersome to use but would be great if the light turned on to do the job for every color and shade. I returned it. Too pricey for what it did.
