Product Description
The Fusionbrand IceOrb, vertical ice cube maker, is the first vertical ice tray that makes, chills, serves and stores. The Iceorb will make 21 cubes of ice on its vertical wall and will store up to 51 cubes. Simply remove the inner bucket and fill the orb with water to the indicated fill line. Place bucket back in the orb (displacing the water), place lid on and pop into the freezer. Once frozen, again pull out the bucket, pop the ice cubes out of the wall and either use, or store inside the bucket. More ice cubes can be made at this time. The inside of the orb is airtight and therefore odor free! The orb doubles as a wine bucket or as a serving vessel. Use as a cooler to keep cold foods fresh while serving…great for ice cream. The lid can be placed under the orb to catch condensation. The orb is top rack dishwasher safe. |

I love this ice "tray"!! It makes plenty of ice, stores it and does not take up alot of room in the freezer! It is very easy to use once you get used to it. I wish I had found it long ago!!

THE PREMISE BEHIND THIS PRODUCT IS GOOD BUT DOES NOT WORK IN REALITY. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE SECTIONS APART AFTER THEY ARE FROZEN.

Yes, it does. But it won't give you any, oh no. Not giving up the ice! Loved the alien girls, they made it look so easy - talked me into giving it another chance. Squeeze to crack the ice, hold it at an angle, press exactly HERE - no dice. No ice. Use your thumbs and press up on the bottom - nope. Not giving up that ice. Squeeze harder. Really hard. Press and pull and twist. Working up a sweat now. Could really use some ice. Not happening.
Bang the thing on the counter. Press and squeeze some more. Brace with your feet. You're still not getting any ice. Run cold water over it. Run hot water over it. Bang and press and twist. Ice does not budge. Get a mallet. A propane torch. An ice axe and crampons. Rent a backhoe, rent The Jaws of Life, there will still be No Ice For You.
I think it is a thing those aliens sent to keep us totally occupied, like little ice-hungry monkeys, squeezing and pressing and sweating and grunting, while they take over the planet.
And I think it will work.

I loved the idea of this product but it is hard to use. I have to use my whole body force to crack up the ice, then I had to pull it apart to dump the ice.. I broke into a sweat using this stupid thing. Did not like it and its expensive for an ice try.
