The tiny handheld anemometer comes in a sporty, yellow, plastic, weather-resistant casing, making it ideal for use during water activities or rainy weather. About 5 seconds after powering up, the anemometer reports the current wind speed in either miles per hour, kilometers per hour, meters per second, or Knots plus, displays wind speed on a Beaufort Scale bar graph. The module also records the maximum and average wind speeds for any 2- to 10-second period of time, and recalls them at the user’s prompting. This anemometer also measures current temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius and wind chill. The LCD screen has a backlight, making the display easy to read even in low-light conditions. The display automatically turns off every 8 seconds in order to preserve the life of the 3-volt lithium cell battery. This anemometer comes with a handy neck band to help prevent you from losing it in foul weather, and is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde |

| Great Technology by Luvino R. Vitancol 5 Stars October 14, 2009 It's easy to use,the numbers are cleared to read. I love the bright yellow color and specially the size of this item can easily take with you anywhere.
| | Well versed in the wind by Poubelle (DC) 3 Stars September 26, 2009 While this is a great little product, if you are already well versed in the wind and spend your time checking NOAA's website for forecasts, you might want to consider going with a pricier version. This is a sturdy little device, but it would be great if it could include wind direction. If you aren't good at telling the speed of the wind by feel and need a little help, then this is definitely a good investment. Regardless, my kiteboarding pals have fun blowing into this to see who can create the strongest gust!
| | Excellent product by Genaro Sole (Caracas, Venezuela) 5 Stars July 26, 2009 This product is excellent. Very fast readings. You can get average and maximum wind speed, both in numbers or beaufort scale. A must have for any rc modelist. Mine come with a good battery at full charge. Many months of use with no problem.
