I knew about popular science before purchasing at amazon. What I was looking for was a great deal that would guarantee delivery. I've ordered from discount websites before that later did not have the product. Getting a refund was difficult.

I love this magazine. It has short articles that can be read on the run, and I learn something new everytime I read an issue.

I had subscribed for years from the '70s and then got caught up in work and engineering journals. I tried a year of Popular Mechanics through an Amazon offer, but didn't like it much outside quirky aircraft stories. PS "how it works" illustrations quickly convey essential concepts without the depth of a lengthy paper. Web links can expand particularly interesting topics. Wired magazine has a similar appeal. Intriguing entertainment!

Took advantage of a special to get a year's subscription to Popular Science. I have enjoyed reading the magazine but probably will not renew.
