verry relaxing i like to listen with a sleep timmer as a drift away to sleep at night really helps me sleep. most people wouldnet like that but im odd i guess if you cant sleep i recomend getting a nature sound track of some sort.

I bought this cd for my husband, who has insomnia. The sound of summer thunderstorms helps him sleep, so it looked like a great idea! The cd itself is not bad. The rain falling is steady and soothing to me. My husband says he would have liked a track with a lot more thunder in it, however. On the last track there are these annoying birds chirping for a few minutes and they never fail to wake us both up, but overall, I'd say it's a decent relaxation cd!

I love this CD. I've had it for a few years, and just recently ordered 2 more made by Echos of Nature - "Ocean Waves" and "Morning Songbirds." "O.W." is fantastic, but "M.S." is not at all what I was looking for. "Thundersorm" sounds very realistic to me, and contains no musical background. When I play it, I feel like it really IS storming outside. I find it very soothing, and I don't even notice the transition from one track to another. I was playing it the other day when a guest happened to come over for an hour. Before he left, he said "What is that CD you are playing? I love it!" So, he shares my enthusiasm. I highly recommend this CD (as well as "O.W.") for meditation, relaxation, reading, studying, housework, falling asleep to, driving, drowning out the neighbor's dog, etc. I feel very balanced and centered when these are playing! Read the reviews and hoped for the best, but found that much of the "rain" in this recording does indeed sound more like static than the pleasant drip of a spring rain. Nevertheless, it's still relaxing as the thunder sounds fairly authentic, and the bird and animal sounds are nice. I suppose mother nature just can't be replicated authentically!

This is a fantastic CD of nature's thunderstorm. It's great to listen to while you get a massage, do Yoga, read, meditate or just when you want that cozy feeling of a summer storm on a night off. More than that, the echoes of nature will relax you and you can even have it on while you sleep.
