EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Amazon.com While many hospitals across the country send new mums and babes home equipped with discs of classical music to soothe and gently stimulate babies' tender minds, Ultrasound brings together a delightfully well-rounded set specifically chosen for those still in the womb. Expectant moms will appreciate the effects of the mellow strains of Bach's Suite No. 3, the delicate playfulness of Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy," and Mozart's proven-to-make-you-smart Sonata for Two Pianos featuring André Previn. Debussy's "Clair de lune" is especially lovely as conducted and fluted by James Galway, and Leontyne Price is a warm blanket of comfort giving voice to Schubert's "Ave Maria." Indeed, these songs are aural balm to both parent and child long after birth. --Paige La Grone |

| Excellent bedtime music!! by Audball 5 Stars June 02, 2009 I bought this CD when I was pregnant with my first son. I started listening to it consistently, especially since I was on bedrest. Fast forward 6 years, and he now still asks to listen to his "baby music" for bedtime, and we own many, many clasical CD's, even ones that claim to boost your babies' intelligence! I even asked him if he remembered listening to this CD while in my tummy, and he answered, "Of course, Mommy!" I think his reaction speaks volumes...enjoy!!
| | Good by R. Craig Ferguson 5 Stars March 08, 2009 I was very pleased with this cd. It is very soothing and calming. I bought it for my daughter and she uses it also for her 21/2 year old to help him sleep in the afternoons. It works.
| | Must have for every woman by AmazonBuyer 5 Stars January 22, 2009 This music is so relaxing, specially when you are in your last months of pregnancy and if you are working full time even in your last trimester, I always felt like when I turn on this music, baby inside me used to kick around. Not sure if it was coincidental.Loved my husband more, as he bought this for me.This music is part of my daughters playlist on our ipod.
| | good for expecting mom and baby by Kay 5 Stars January 12, 2009 the music is soothing. I enjoyed it before going to bed. My to-be-born baby sesms also like it: he sometims responds by kicking or moving.
| | Soothing and uplifting by Susanna E. (San Ramon, CA) 4 Stars November 24, 2008 I really like this CD. The music was very uplifting and soothing at the same time...I play it for my fetal son every night before bed with headphones that I stick onto my belly. I don't know if it's doing anything, but I can hear it too and it almost puts me to sleep :)

Hundreds of compilation recordings have been thrust on the market in recent years on the theory that classical music makes a nice, non-threatening accompaniment to everything from working out to making love. And here we have one compilation promising to make your baby smarter. It's offensive enough that the music featured on these compilations is spliced up so that the most you hear of any work is a single movement; what's really annoying is the poor quality of so many of the featured...
