CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 47 reviews)
| Truly a Masterpiece! Left Eye doing what she does BEST! by Brittney (Florida) 5 Stars June 12, 2009 I absolutely love this cd! Supernova is a great cd to listen to. Each song brings something different and unique to the album. I like to listen to each song, but my favorites are "Hot!", "I Believe in Me", "True Confessions", "Life is Like a Park", and "Breathe". Left Eye is, to me, the BEST rapper of all time because she wrote songs with meaning. Before buying this cd I bought "Eye Legacy" (Left Eye's Posthumous album), but the reviews of "Supernova" were saying that it was way better than "Eye Legacy" and they were right. Don't get me wrong, "Eye Legacy" is a great cd too, but "Supernova" was Left Eye's own masterpiece. Buy it, it's worth it!
R.I.P. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. Your legacy continues.....

| | Ive been waiting SOOO long.... by Maria (Eastern Coast) 2 Stars December 09, 2008 I have been waiting since this album to come out to get it, and thats been since 2002. I could not find it anywhere, and when I came onto Amazon.com and searched for it a few weeks ago, I was so excited. I ordered it and just received it a few days ago. I have listened to the entire CD and am honestly thoroughly dissapointed. I thought this CD was supposed to be a breaktrough for Lisa Lopes, a new sound.. a great new beginning, electrifying, and supposed to leave her fans speechless. I didnt find any of that to be true.
First off, the sound of this CD is poor, it sounded as if she barely spent any time on it and just wanted to throw something together just for fun, quickly. Some songs do sound like she is reciting poetry, and some songs sound like a normal rap song, going with the flow of the music. I really dont see how this made it to number one as it was only sold internationally. The only song I could see myself listening to a few times out of the year would be song 4, "Let Me Live".
If you are looking for a poor sounding, low quality CD that was thrown together in less than a week (thats what it sounds like) then go and buy this CD. As for my copy I am selling it. Talk about a let down after all those years of searching for this ::sigh::
| | Somewhat disappointed. by silveroses (WI) 2 Stars September 15, 2007 I bought this album a few months ago- didn't even know it existed until recently. I was a fan of Lisa Lopes back in the day, and always thought she should do her own project, so when I found out about Supernova I ordered it immediately. I hate to say it, but it was not that impressive. Tracks 1-4 were pretty much all I listened to, but this cd did not contain any hits.
I think what I didn't like about it is that it sounds like she is at a poetry reading or something. Her raps were not as hard hitting or catchy as I remember during her time with TLC, so it was quite strange. I do not recommend Supernova unless you are a hardcore fan who enjoys poetry readings.
| | Into Left Eye's World by Miss Foxy 4 Stars August 03, 2007 Overall I think this is a good album. There are a lot of songs I like and I thinkg its just very interesting to hear what she has to say. I think all TLC/Left Eye fans should get this CD. There are just a couple of songs on there that I tend to skip over, but other than that I think its a cool album.
