Gothic rock by Michelle E. Travaille (Peterborough, SA, Australia) 5 Stars February 11, 2009 I absolutely love this cd! The vocals are soaring, clear and filled with emotion. There is a darkness to the lyrics and music that is similar to HIM but is it's own. The Finns do this music so well.

Great++++ by Marius Von Der Myhre (Norway) 5 Stars September 17, 2008 An Amazing complication with charon singer Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto on vocals & Sentenced's very own Ville Laihiala on guiitar and backing vocals.
An absolut must have for all fans of Charon, Sentenced, Entwine, To/Die/for and so on.

IF TYPE O NEGATIVE And DANZING by GOTHGIRL (WISCONSIN) 5 Stars December 03, 2007 HAD A BABY , POISON BLACK IS IT. A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME TO SURF AROUND ON CD BABY TO LOOK INTO BANDS-- I LOVE TYPE O, SO I LOOKED INTO OTHER BANDS "LIKE" THEM ,AND POISON BLACK CAME UP. IF PETER STEEL ROCKED IT UP A LITTLE YOU'D THINK THIS WAS HIS ALTER EGO GROUP. FAVORITE SONGS ARE LOVE INFERNO, LAY YOUR HEART TO REST, AND WITH HER I DIE. BUY IT!

Great album for Paradise Lost and Type O fans! by Thrand 4 Stars September 13, 2006 I heard the song LOVE INFERNAL on some radio station and was immediately thrilled by the sound of Poisonblack. I ordered the album directly from amazon. The songs on this great album incorporates all that we love about the catchiest songs Paradise Lost and Type O Negative have unleashed upon the world. Poisonblacks premiere release is as good as HIM but heavier. If you like melodic metal and the above mentioned bands, invest in this album.

Very...well...expected by J. Reed (Missy Sippy) 5 Stars August 17, 2006 I understand that some people who don't like Sentenced would really trash this album...but with Ville's songs and J-P's voice...my god, what more could you ask for. I really hate that Juha had to leave the band but you know, maybe its for the best...I know that I will have the new one in my hands very soon either way. But as for this album...it's great! Buy it!

| Songs for the Sinners by Charon
Finland's premier melodic rock/metal combo Charon makes a triumphant return with Songs For The Sinners out soon on Spinefarm Records. Years of fine-tuning their style has now resulted in a heavier edged album than heard from Charon previously, without losing any of their characteristic knack for killer guitar melodies and memorable vocal lines. A sterling production/mixing job by Mikko Karmila (renowned for his work with Nightwish & countless other perennial metal favourites from Finland)...
