WOW by Squelch (7th Layer of Hell) 5 Stars

All I can say is this is amazing frozen black metal!! They are from Maryland too so I know where their inspiration comes from, gets pretty icy up there and evil dwells in the forests. Finally some amazingly good American black metal in league with Kult of Azazel. Do not miss this CD! With Immortal broken up and Dissection changed to cosmic metal, frost metal is dying!

Snow Wizards of Black Metal! by Cremisi North (Ohio) 5 Stars

This is one of the best black metal albums I have heard in a while. ICE play fast and furious black metal similar to that of Marduk and early Immortal. The guitars shred with hyperspeed tremolo and at many points some melody hooks are thrown in. Those hooks will keep you coming back again and again. Drums are fast and precise and are integrated well with the rest of the music. I must also mention that no keyboards are used with the exception of maybe the introductory first song. Vocals are good raspy, shrieky vocals standard to black metal. Finally the production is great giving the entire album and very cold and harsh sound. All in all, I can't really do this band justice in my review. Many people will probably pass on this CD just from the album cover, but looks can be deceiving. For those that pick this one up, be prepared to to be left frostbitten and amazed.

This band from maryland was not in the veins of cradle of filth or old man's child. They resemble more towards old dark funeral and marduk. It is one really great cd, I also recommend their 4 song demo.

I.C.E. - IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT! If you like artist like Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Old Mans Child, Immortal, and any other Scandinavian Gothic/Death Metal style band, you will like thes guys. I was turned on to them by a friend of mine, I went on Amazon the next day and bought me a copy. Very unique look. They dress in total white robes and they wear white mask (ala Micheal Meyers from Holloween). I belive all their songs are about the cold. A quote from their Biogaphy: A blizzard of speed blasts, foreboding riffs and hellish vocals put I.C.E in the top ranks among the BlackMetal elite. I doubt you will be disappointed with their music. 2009 release, the seventh album from the Norwegian Black Metal outfit. It has been almost four years since Old Man's Child released the highly-acclaimed and successful album Vermin in late 2005. The band's mastermind Galder has kept busy during their downtime with his brothers in crime, Dimmu Borgir.
