Kai delivers the goods again.... by Geoff M. Blair (Batesville, AR USA) 4 Stars

Yes, I have a bias. I'm a huge Kai Hansen fan, always have been. This guy basically invented the genre. For those who thought No World Order was a hair off, Majestic is a bit stronger to my ears. Any GR release will have its moments, that's a given. "My Temple" and "Blood Religion" are a couple of standouts here.

Lacks of originality by Felipe B. Castro 2 Stars

I feel disappointed with Gamma Ray: The introduction of the song #4 "HELL IS THY HOME" sounds exactly like Judas Priest's song "Leather Rebel" from CD "Painkiller" (1990). This is a total shame, ¿what about copyrights?. I saw Gamma Ray in concert this year along with Helloween in the "hellish tour" and I liked their show, but now i am very angry with them because I pay to hear NEW and ORIGINAL stuff. All in all, this CD deserves two stars because the music is well executed but it lacks of originality.

I'd like to just carry on where the others have left off, this cd is frikin' awesome. European power metal is one of my personnal favorite styles of metal, even though I pretty much like them all. They just seem to have a formula that works. Anyway, if you like Helloween, you'll dig this big time. Check it out. I highly recommend getting this release as the others have done.

pretty good but DEFINITELY no "No World Order" by stagecrewlizzy (Wheaton, IL) 4 Stars

Gamma Ray is probably one of my favorite bands and I would have to say as far as power metal goes, it's right between them and Hanson's old band Helloween as far as who is superior. I think this is quite an enjoyable CD but there's something missing from it. Gamma Ray's previous release, "No World Order" absolutely blew me away and almost every song on there was classic power metal in my opinion. However, on this album I have to say there are numerous good songs but I can't say that there's any real classics on here. Kai Hanson is absolutely one of the geniuses in metal and boy I really wish the U.S. realized this, but they never will because power metal is considered "uncool" here which is a shame, especially for Gamma Ray because no offense to any of the other power metal bands, Gamma Ray definitely has more edge to them. Oh well. In conclusion, this is a good, solid album, it just isn't mindblowing like "No World Order" but regardless, KEEP ON ROCKING KAI!!!!

For me this is their best album, in metal-rules.com it is ranked in #3 in their "TOP OF 2005" list...., the only song I don't like is Majesty...it seems out of place...breaks the armony of the album.
