EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description The follow-up to Black Lab’s critically acclaimed Geffen debut Your Body Above Me (feat. "Wash it Away," “Time Ago”), See the Sun is a lush, epic union of heartbreak and rock & roll, diamond-cut lyrics set to hard candy melodies, raging guitars and gin-soaked stories of love, loss and redemption. Like U2 and Live and the Goo's getting drunk together. Like a five star hotel, you check in and you’re sorry to check out. Their new album has a depth and emotional range that broadens with each listen. Grammy award-winning engineer Tom Lord-Alge (Live, Blink 182) mixed most of the album. What shines brightest is the band's pop sensibility – the liquid swirl of "Remember," the epic sweep of "See the Sun," the raging loss of "Without You," and the open-armed surrender of "Lonely Boy." Black Lab has contributed to the soundtracks of Spider Man, Can't Hardly Wait, Varsity Blues, Permanent Midnight, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Party of Five, What I Like About You, MTV's The Real World, and most recently, Blade: Trinity. |

| Excellent Band, great lyrics by M. A. Mason (Kuwait) 5 Stars October 27, 2009 My feeling on this CD is excellent purchase!! I work on an Army base in Kuwait but my drive time is exactly these 12 songs/one way. Wonderful music collection and when I listened to these songs on See the Sun I immediatly purchased the other 2- You're body above me and Passion leaves a trace. I saw these guys at a beach party in Southern Cal in the late 90's and wanted to reminisce. Boy, I'm happy I did. Good investment for music lovers. I'm probably the only one in Kuwait jammin to Black Lab; but then again, who knows!?!?!? You won't be let down!! Mike
| | Good dog.... by Michael Arameish (West Virginia) 5 Stars June 02, 2009 This follow up CD to "Your Body Above Me" is just as good. This band plays great rock and roll and the lead singer has a strong versatile voice. You can keep those whimpish "boy band" and "american idol" singers because Black Lab rocks and their talent shows! The previous CD was more 'out there' and this one is more mainstream but when you like each song on a CD that says something about a band: they're great!
| | should be more popular by K. Garaventa (Salem, OR USA) 5 Stars April 07, 2009 Almost all of the songs are melodic and very well done. Vocals are beautiful and the guitar riffs, bass beats and drum beats all blend together to something that's great to listen to in the car on a sunny afternoon (in my personal opinion).
| | Black Lab See the Sun by R. Goldman (Montesano, WA United States) 5 Stars May 27, 2008 This is without a doubt the best music set I have purchased and listened to in a long long time. I really liked their first album, so I took a chance and purchased this CD. It is one of the best purchase I have made bar none. I just can't stop listening to it! My wife really likes it as well. My favorites are......... ecstasy, remember & without you. You can't go wrong with this one.
| | Best album in years! by Jake (Salt Lake City, UT USA) 5 Stars September 26, 2007 This is one of those rare albums that you can listen to from track 1 to 12 and not hit the skip button once! When I bought it, it played in my car stereo for nearly two weeks straight. Great album!

| Your Body Above Me by Black Lab
Black Lab is a sharp young San Francisco trio whose full-bodied sound suggests an understated alliance of the Wallflowers, U2 and Sonic Youth. "Wash It Away" and the heartsick "Time Ago" are two particularly solid rock songs. --Jeff Bateman
