The Dawning of a New Day For Rock and Roll by Orin Smith 5 Stars
October 11, 2006
Holy Heart Failure's music is almost too difficult to describe in words, so I'll use a terse allegory. It's as if a plane carrying The Stooges and Black Sabbath crash landed into The Melvin's tour bus. After listening to this album multiple times straight through, I simply cannot get enough. While it's complexities musically aren't quite biblical in proportion, what they do in that regard works, and it works very, very well. Albums like this doesn't come along very often. If you have not heard this album yet, you'd be doing yourself a favor by picking it up. 100 years from now, music scholars will simply point to this album when asked by the youth, "What was Rock and Roll?"

I haven't heard anything so fresh and so rock n roll for a long time. These guys are gonna be big, but they need your support. Buy it! Best 13 bucks I ever spent.

The best band going today by Zach (Fostoria, OH, USA) 5 Stars

Holy Heart Failure is the future of rock and roll. If people smarten up, they'll realize that HHF is the greatest mix of the Stooges, Melvins, Black Flag and every awesome 60s Garage band ever. Piss Blood Denim is easily one of the best rock songs I've heard in a long time. Its hard to pick a favorite since everything on this cd is equally awesome. If I had to choose I'd pick China Grove II: Electric Boogaloo as the highpoint. Honestly, these guys need your support. Buy the album and make sure you record store stocks it. Go see them live when they come through town. On record they're great but on stage they're the greatest band ever.
