In order to help his students learn math, and have fun at the same time, he began to perform rap songs about the math the students were learning. We learned about the Rappin' Mathematician at the State PTA Convention in California in 2009. He was a guest speaker, and we got to hear a sample of his work. As soon as we returned home, my sixth-grade son had me order it. When the volume arrived, my younger children also started singing these catchy, memorable tunes, memorizing an amazing number of math facts in less than a day. The Rappin' Mathematician is definitely onto something!
