CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 2 reviews)
| An oddly shaped gem by Jack likes bagels 4 Stars August 21, 2009 Being a fan of black dice and animal collective, I found out about this album and looked it up. Since it was about $3 in new condition, and I felt like getting something different, I decided to purchase this. This album is very strange, I still don't know whats on the cover art. Eric's work here is similar to that of his main project/band black dice, except this seems less sporadic, more atmospheric, and contains more live instruments. It's very nice to mellow out to, even though some track are better (and noisier) then others. If you have a few dollars and you like black dice or similar artists I'd definitely recommend picking this up and discovering an entirely different, but mysteriously similar soundscape.
| | grows on you by ps181 (usa) 5 Stars March 17, 2008 This is probably my most listened album from 2007 and I still don't know why. Every song is simple, catchy and completely distorted. Not distorted like screaming white noise, just really complicated textures that sound wrong in a really good way. Kind of like when a cd player skips or someone gets feedback on a microphone and it sounds better than whatever was going on before. You can tell Copeland is in the Black Dice, but this record doesn't have as much tension as theirs usually do. It's just at home with the weirdness. Check out Tree Aliens or Spacehead if you want to decide to get this.

| Alien in a Garbage Dump by Eric Copeland
With Alien In A Garbage Dump, Brooklyn's Eric Copeland emerges from his underground bunker, having sifted through the constant stimulation found everywhere in this 21st Century, discovering connections within our united co-existence while avoiding the prejudices we are relentlessly force-fed from the powers that be. The result is a coll-ection of songs at once uniquely urban but still strangely universal in language. Fifteen years strong in the game and somehow it's easier to see where his...

| Repo by Black Dice
This Brooklyn trio has never worked harder at crafting a set of concise, sonically battering, or flat-out bizarre tunes than on this collection of fringe-surfing tone bombs. Yet a new roadhouse blues band philosophy has simultaneously emerged, allowing the group to loosen up and casually toss off a record packed with blurry hooks and zoomed in riffs. "Repo" irreverently mulches the sounds and images of radio, TV, and Internet into a fertile compost pile squirming with new, raw life.

| Health//Disco by Health
"HEALTH music can be harsh and grating, of course, but also sensually smooth and sexy and electronic and also metallic and all Fodderstompfy." -- LA Weekly "LA's newest adjunct professors of art punk." -- Skyscraper "Los Angeles' answer to New York's avant garde noise scene." -- CMJ New Music Report By now you're likely familiar with the (barely) contained chaos of HEALTH. The band's debut album (September 2008, Lovepump United) and relentless touring with the likes of Crystal...
