EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Album Description Fresh on the heels of the "War Sucks, Let's Party" tour, ANTI-FLAG assembled this brand new EP to benefit a very important cause. This past winter, bassist Chris #2's family experienced the horror of losing a family member when his sister fell victim to violent crime, leaving behind a young daughter and son. We all have our own gut reactions when faced with tragedy. Anti-Flag’s was to put together this limited edition benefit E.P. in hopes it would help others who have gone through similar situations. The proceeds will be going to the The Center for Victims of Violence and Crime (www.cvvc.org) as well as educational bonds. "A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime" features five new Anti-Flag studio tracks along with five live songs recorded at Pittsburgh's Mr. Smalls this past April. The CD pressing of "A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime" will be a limited pressing, and this release will be available for download at all digital retailers worldwide. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 2 reviews)
| another great album, and for a good cause by Sean Moxley (Frederick, MD USA) 5 Stars December 24, 2007 I also would buy any album Anti Flag puts out, it is great music and they have a message to get involved, otherwise nothing changes / none of the studio songs stand out as better then the others, it is just a very good consistent effort, and I love the advice for GW / If your an Anti Flag fan, then you will love this album / even if you aren't, it is a good intro to Anti Flag that benefits multiple charities.
| | "Paradise" will be in every show set forever by Stuart Sutton (VA United States) 5 Stars October 21, 2007 I'd buy anything they put out, so I'm biased. If money is tight you MUST download "Paradise" which is a classic. The other 4 studio songs are quite good (the 2 interludes are, well, they're brief so you don't really have time to reach for the skip button) and the sound quality on the live recordings is excellent.

Anti-Flag's newest full-length since selling 75,000+ in ten months of their fourth album Underground Network on Fat Wreck Chords. Special because it features 8 new studio tracks including '9-1-1 for Peace', Anti-Flag's statement regarding the hideous September 11th attacks on the United States, plus 6 live recordings of Anti-Flag classics including 'Die for the Government', 'A New Kind of Army', and 'Underground Network'. The live portion was recorded as a time capsule regarding current...

| For Blood and Empire by Anti-Flag
Anti-Flag delivers its own State of the Union with 39 minutes of spunk rock that preaches, teaches and leaves the listener thinking that maybe if high school civics classes were this much fun we might all very well be in a better, more enlightened place. Not everyone will agree with Anti-Flag's take on world events and, frankly, even those who do might call into question how effective it is to write a three-minute song about depleted uranium. If the group’s intended audience ends up caring as...

| Die for the Government by Anti-Flag
Anti-Flag tosses up the kind of vintage, early-'80s, So-Cal, melodic punk that B.Y.O., Frontier, Posh Boy, and other labels specialized in, and a ska song is welcome. New Red Archives.
