CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 2 reviews)
| Asteroid No. 4 - 'These Flowers Of Ours' (Committee To Keep) by Mike Reed (USA) 5 Stars August 05, 2009 Every bit as good (if not better) than their previous effort - 'An Amazing Dream', see my review. It's been noted before that the last couple of Asteroid No. 4 discs sound a lot like songs from the late Syd Barrett archive. Every track here left me wanting more. For example "My Love" features some beautiful acoustic guitar playing, "Let It Go" resembles an undiscovered Syd Barrett composition (so much) featuring some killer harmonica playing, that you'll swear up and down it's a Barrett cover and the same goes with "She's All I Needed". Couple of other great songs this CD has to offer include "Hei Nau Lah", the shoegazing "She Touched The Sky" and the well-written "All Fall Down". Personnel: Scott Vitt-guitar & vocals, Eric Harms-guitar & bass, Aislim Van Kried-keyboards & vocals, Damine C. Taylor-bass and Adam Weaver-drums & vocals. Essential 21st century psychedelia. Very addictive.
| | Great Album by Dave (Chicago Burbs) 5 Stars August 04, 2009 I've been listening to this album A LOT over the past month and can't believe there are no reviews yet. This album is a big improvement over their older stuff, the songwriting is better and the overall sound rocks out more. The harmonies are obviously heavily influenced by The Byrds but its the guitar playing that really makes this album. Reminds me quite a bit of Ride's "Nowhere" and The Morning After Girls are going for a similar sound. On songs like She's All I Need, All Fall Down and Let It Go they are really letting it rip, other songs feature are more melodic and acoustic. They're all great and the album hangs together very well. This is psychedelic rock done right.

The music of California's Darker My Love is guitars drenched in blissed-out fuzz, pulsing drums crashing like waves, and echoing harmonies stretching sky-high. Features ex-members of Distillers and Nerve Agents.

| 2 by Darker My Love
Their sophomore album is awash with the same feedback-filled guitars and pounding rhythms that made their debut a standout, with a newfound sense of melody. "2" demonstrates the band's love of fuzzy, reverb-laden rock 'n' roll and sunburned harmonies that stick in your head long after the needle has left the groove. It plays out like a musical odyssey complete with shimmering guitar anthems, blasts of buoyant pop, and a few surprises.
