CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 1 review)
| Illuminating piece of work by Aaron J. Geddes 5 Stars October 28, 2009 Another brilliant release on John Zorn's Tzadik, primarily in a trio setting of balls out yet oddly restrained free jazz with very intense drumming from kenny wollesen, (one of my favorite of his-if you like this, check out New Klezmer Trio and of course Masada) overlayed with unusually subdued yet nonetheless brilliant piano of Bergmann, and a great saxophone addition to one song brought courtesy of John Zorn. Only complaint is that the album could easily stand to be longer! Long live FREE music!

Including tributes to artists as diverse as: Vince Guaraldi, Clint Eastwood, David Lynch, Mike Patton and Harry Smith, the music is some of the most beautiful and soothing Zorn has ever written. Touching on the jazz/pop/funk trios of Vince Guaraldi and Ramsey Lewis, the music is scored for a remarkable piano trio of Rob Burger...

He now has returned with his "Piano Vortex" trio (Whit Dickey on drums, Joe Morris on Bass), to deliver Harmonic Disorder - a new set of tracks, including two standards: "There Will Never Be Another You" and "Someday My Prince Will...
