EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description 'Crazy Love', Michael Bublé's first CD in two and a half years, features two original songs along with his always original take on 11 standards from various eras. The multi-Grammy winning artist hunkered down in recording studios in LA, Brooklyn, New York and his hometown of Vancouver for the last six months to make his 'ultimate record about the inevitable roller coaster ride of relationships.' The first single, 'Haven't Met You Yet,' written by Bublé (with Alan Chang and Amy Foster) is scheduled to be released to radio on August 31st. Additional tunes on the album include 'Cry Me A River,' 'You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You,' 'Georgia On My Mind' and 'Baby (You've Got What It Takes)' which was performed with Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings. The title song is a cover of the Van Morrison gem 'Crazy Love.' The CD closes out with a haunting version of 'Stardust' which is performed with the acapella group Naturally 7. The album was produced by David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica. |

| what a voice !!! by Martha Loeb (in MASSACHUSETTS) 5 Stars November 27, 2009 I really love Michael Buble's music. He is so creative in this CD especially. There is jazz, very upbeat easy listening music, and tons of enjoyable music. All I want to say is WOW- what a fantastic and enjoyable CD.
| | Welcome to Dullsville by Steven Guy (Croydon, South Australia) 1 Stars November 26, 2009 Michael Buble comes across as a superior Karaoke singer and nothing more. He sings the notes reasonably well in tune and does a fairly soulless impersonation of a Rat-Pack "wannabe". His looks appeal to women, particularly grannies, and he comes across as "squeaky clean" and innoffensive. These are his good points.
However, he sings with little or no discernible emotions and he seems to have forgotten to read the words of the songs he sings before singing them in order to develop some sort of interpretation of the songs he sings. He essentially sings happy songs and sad songs in precisely the same soulless schmaltzy "Las Vegas" style. "Cry Me A River" and "Heartache Tonight" are two examples of how Buble doesn't seem to know what the songs are about and how he is more interested in filling up his albums with familiar, unchallenging and inoffensive repertoire.
The album is entitled "Crazy Love", however if you're expecting a collection of highly emotive songs delived in a wildy passionate and unbridled way, then look elsewhere. As someone recently said to me, "Michael Buble is so 'middle-of-the-road" it is a wonder no one has painted a white line down the middle of him!"
| | Really disappointed!!! by Caroll A. Flanery (Redding, CA) 2 Stars November 25, 2009 I am a big Michael Buble fan, and I waited eagerly for this new release. All I can say is, "What a letdown!" Honestly, the only song I REALLY liked on the whole CD was "Haven't Met You Yet." All of the others were stale retreads of songs I've never especially liked, or way over-produced versions of old standards ("Cry Me A River" is the most glaring example of this). Michael's last CD, "Call Me Irresponsible", was so wonderful, so intense, so beautifully performed, that I bought "Crazy Love" without hearing any of the tracks. I'm sorry to say that I will no longer be able to do that. This whole CD sounds as if Michael Buble just phoned in his performances, and he is capable of SO MUCH more. "Crazy Love" was really disappointing!!!
| | Crazy Love by J. D. Lange 4 Stars November 24, 2009 Wonderful Michael Buble stuff. He seems to be growing into his persona. As usual, band backing up is fantastic!
| | he's done it again by T. Gue (Oak View, CA United States) 5 Stars November 24, 2009 This album is one of his very best. With a touch of modern and old school. His vocals are to swoon over and every track worth listening to. He takes himself above and beyond.
